From the soccer field to the clinical field

Kevin Santiago | Health Science | Class of 2021

Kevin Santiago, ’21, wants to be the first. First in his immediate family to graduate from college. He chose to transfer into CSE to earn his degree because of the warm, welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

“The students, faculty and staff are so friendly,” says Kevin, who was born in Puerto Rico and speaks both English and Spanish fluently. “Their kindness played a huge role in me transferring here.” Previously, he attended a larger city college.

When not in class or working in a restaurant, Kevin can be found on the soccer field. He was recruited to play defense for the College’s first men’s team.

“CSE has been a great fit for me because of everything it has to offer,” says Kevin.

“Studying here will help me get the future I want.”

After graduating, he plans to become a physical therapist or athletic trainer.
